Ironman Competition Won’t Affect Our Local Traffic

On Saturday, November 14th, Clearwater’s Ironman triathlon competition will start at 7 AM at Pier 60 on Clearwater Beach. The event will begin with a 1.2 mile swim and be followed by a 56 mile bike ride and a 13.2 mile run through the streets of Clearwater. The course, covering dozens of miles, will not affect traffic in our area other than a heavier load from people who avoid Clearwater’s closed streets.
