Wednesday, November 11, 2009 is Veterans Day. This national holiday is a salute to the armed forces who have made our country strong and defend the principles we live by. The men and women who stand to sacrifice the ultimate gift to society should be recognized for their willingness to protect our freedoms and way of life unequaled around the world.
Some of the planned events include:
The City of Largo will hold a ceremony at 7 PM in Central Park.
Clearwater is holding Veterans Day ceremonies at Brighthouse Field beginning at 2 PM with a program that includes a number of armed services beginning at 3 PM.
