Clearwater Sea Blues festival will highlight the weekend’s activities at Coachman Park in Clearwater. Beginning on Friday, February 19th the sound of blues will start at 5:30 PM on the grassy slopes of the park. The area around the boat ramp is impressive with plenty of parking for cars and boat trailers. The fishing pier and docks are large and seem to be fully functional. The quiet opening was just the simple removal of barricades that prevented access. For a nearby treat this weekend, the Suncoast Jazz Classic begins Friday with a parade at 11:30 AM from poolside at the Sheraton Sand Key. However, one that has special meaning to them is the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure on Saturday, Oct. 3, in St. Petersburg. Last year fighters in Pinellas County raised over $5700 for this event. It’s the first of a kind blog to keep area residents informed of activities, events and important contacts within the area.
