The plans for the Sand Key Civic Association’s Springfest are shaping up for a great day on the island. Dubbed “The First Annual Springfest”, the fun will take place at the Shoppes of Sand Key. A big tent will be the center of live entertainment, arts and crafts, food and refreshments from noon to 7 PM. On Tuesday March 9, 2010 we again get to exercise our rights under the Constitution and elect officials, vote on material issues and make our individual voice heard through the ballot box. Check with your local community for times and location; in Belleair Bluffs the Community Center is the polling place from 7 AM to [...] Clearwater Sea Blues festival will highlight the weekend’s activities at Coachman Park in Clearwater. Beginning on Friday, February 19th the sound of blues will start at 5:30 PM on the grassy slopes of the park. The area around the boat ramp is impressive with plenty of parking for cars and boat trailers. The fishing pier and docks are large and seem to be fully functional. For a nearby treat this weekend, the Suncoast Jazz Classic begins Friday with a parade at 11:30 AM from poolside at the Sheraton Sand Key.
